There is a wealth of walks on the door step and it is not far to the shores of Ullswater with idyllic views across the lake to the mountains and plenty of water based action.

Deepdale has everything to make your visit stay in a holiday cottage in the Lake District that bit extra special. It is a first floor self catering apartment which maximises the uninterrupted views to the surrounding hills from both the living room and bedroom. It combines well modern living within a traditional Victorian Lakeland home, with very spacious comfortable one bedroom accommodation.

Our holiday cottage is situated along a quiet private lane at the beginning of a small community of cottages at Grisedale Bridge. It is a lovely location between the villages of Glenridding and Patterdale, at the heart of the Ullswater valley. Our holiday cottage is ideally located for walkers, climbers, cyclists and watersport enthusiasts. You don’t need to move your car to enjoy these activities. For those who want to travel a little further a field, just over the Kirkstone Pass is the bustling town of Ambleside. The surrounding area has a selection of National Trust properties, picture post card village and gardens as well as pony trekking, quad biking and an alpaca centre.

From Deepdale’s door you have a magnificent choice of walks, with easy access to Helvellyn, Fairfield, St Sunday Crag and the High Street ranges. Or you can enjoy a wealth of beautiful walks along the lakeshore strolls, woodlands and valleys. You can even combine these with a trip on the Ullswater Steamer.
